Want to give a shout out to hsbrian (aka web master b) for the awesome recent updates to the Pargon site.  The standings page is better than ever.  Let me share a few comments some guests shared at my annual Pargon Gala Dinner that I hosted at the palace the weekend:

Birthday

Today we celebrate the birthday of one of Pargon's founders, current humble servant Pat. He gets a rare upgrade to uppercase today, as is tradition.

Week 1 in the books

Week 1 is all updated on the website. And we have a new active record to track. With his week-leading 89 points in Zammuto, hsjim now has sole possession of the record for most consecutive weeks leading Zammuto. It's an active record, so stay tuned.

And The Initial 2018 Tony Bruno Edge Award Goes To.....

....Lord Parg....WAIT, HOLD EVERYTHING.  No....!  It's not Lord Pargon Jimmy.  WOW, this is unprecedented.  What just happened???   Okay everyone, the actual, inaugural 2018 Tony Bruno Edge Award winner is humbe servant brian higgins.  Yes indeed, wow.  My notes read....hang on, my glasses fell in a manure pile today and are dirty.  Ok, it says here "For meritorious service to the Pargon Nation website and record keeping, humble servant Brian Higgins has beaten out his lordness Lord Pargon Jimmy for the Tony Bruno Edge Award to start the year."  This is more unbelievable than the time the two banned teams were picked in a game against each other to start the season. 
Congratulations Humble Brian.  You shall hold this award until such time as it is deemed no longer worthy of you.

The Standings page is updated and we are all ready for the new season.

Congrats in Order

Congratulations to the new Lord Pargon-elect Jim Higgins, who will clinch this year's title following the AFC Championship game. Either team winning will put Jimmy over the threshold of 10 points to clinch the majority.

For the second year in a row, a Pargon member forced a playoff with the help of a successful Lucky Hit. For the second year in a row, Jimmy faced off again a Pargon legend in the playoffs. And for the second year in a row, the week-17 "Lucky Hit" winner also took home the title of Lord Pargon.

2005 was the last year in which a 1st-time champion took home the season title.

A proud day indeed.
