Pargon Nation!

Ahhh...these are truly the dog-days of the year.  We are in the midst of a 12 week run of straight head-to-head matchups.  A return to the Pargon roots of our forefathers.  While everyone enjoys a fun bye week 4.0 or mad dash to break up the battles, it's always come back to true head-to-head games to determine how things line up toward the end of the season.  LP is pleased with how the season is going and has noticed humble servant Jimmy creeping up the past few weeks.  Also, the Zammuto points race is as tight as ever.

Will Lord Pargon keep his crown for an unprecedented sixth time in seven years?  Who will win the race to claim the vacated Zammuto points table?  Will anyone hit, or even attempt, the dangerous yet bold feat of a Lucky Hit?

Here is a reminder about Pargon Bye Week 4.0, which will be held on Week 4 in 2017:

Count up wins from each person's 8 bye week teams. 1st gets 3, 2nd 2, 3rd 1, 4th 0. Anyone that gets 6 or more wins gets 1 extra. Ties result in both people getting that ranking's points

Ex:
Person 1: 7 wins = 3 pts + 1 bonus
Person 2: 6 wins = 2 pts + 1 bonus
Person 3: 3 wins = 1 pt
Person 4: 0 wins = 0 pts

Birthday Extraordinaire

Pargon Nation would like to formally offer a special birthday wish to our current but sadly-departing LPJJ.

I think he's 40 now, which is a monumental occasion. If you lived in a "Game of Thrones"-type era or something similar, life expectancy was much lower. You would be heralded as a king.

So in honor of "Game of Thrones"-style King LPJJ, we wish you a happy birthday!

Tony Bruno Edge Award, Week 17 Edition

The final Tony Bruno Edge Award of the 2016 regular season goes to hspat, aka hsmanurefields, who gets to spend an afternoon of his choosing outside of the manure pits.

During the final Mad Dash Week of 2016, he gained an impressive 3 Pargon Points, along with a 4th point in the first ever Lucky Hit on his wager with the Giants. This pulled him from 3rd place into a tie for 1st, and a spot in the Pargon Playoffs with hsjimmy.

Zammuto Results

With the results finally tabulated, we can declare hspaul as the Zammuto Champion. After being behind all season, he took the lead in week 14 and hasn't looked back.

This is Paul's 6th Zammuto championship in the last 8 seasons. His final score of 1461 is the highest Zammuto score since 2014, and still behind the all time season high of 1560, scored also by Paul, in 2009.

The final numbers, as well as historical records, will be updated near the start of the offseason.
